Just So We’re Clear On The Whole “People Will Get Over It” Thing
There was a shitload of white privilege that went into fandom immediately getting over Cass being shit on to prop up Steph. At the end of the day, the cute white girl was gonna win out. Just look at how huge the pushback against Steph being plucked from the mantle is now, as opposed to when Cass was dropped for Steph’s benefit. As unfortunate and gross as it was, that’s just the reality of fandom being so overwhelmingly white.
But this time, the same white women who went absolutely gaga over Steph getting the mantle at Cass’ expense are getting pissed over what’s being done to Steph and Oracle. So that’s encouraging, at least.
