Oh my god, I hate when I see ‘A:TLA isn’t really for kids!!!’ especially

ayries:

Like, I see this ALL THE TIME. All the time! These people insisting smugly that it’s just considered for kids because that’s the only way to get animation made in the US and that in reality it’s so much better and for adults and I just, no, stop, okay. It’s aimed at kids, though by no means exclusively. And that’s awesome, because something as well written and executed as A:TLA being aimed at kids tells children that they should expect quality from their media. If kids watch A:TLA then they get used to the idea they can expect, say, consistent character development! And themes! And good continuity! It’s age appropriate for children and appealing, and I don’t get why people don’t want kids to see something as awesome as A:TLA?

Sorry, silly A:TLA fans, but you like a kids’ cartoon. Get over it, lord. It’s fine! It can be for other people too! We can even call it family entertainment if you like!

Bolded by me for emphasis.
